Innokin iTaste Kroma
At first you’ll think there’s an RDA sitting on top of this device but you’re in for a big surprise. The Innokin iTaste Kroma is a very compact starter kit with a built-in battery and a recessed tank that sits halfway inside the mod. It is available in six different colors and it has that race car design influence going on all around the body.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
The Innokin iTaste Kroma comes packed in a white presentation box and it’s one of the best looking compact vape mods we’ve seen in quite some time. With the kit you will get the device itself, the Slipstream tank fitted with a 0.8 Ohm Kanthal coil, a spare 0.5 Ohm SS coil, a charging cable, a 510 adapter for regular atomizers, a tool, and the user manual.
DESIGN AND FEATURES
It measures 95mm x 50mm x 24mm with the tank on top and it’s very lightweight due to the internal Li-Po battery. The battery is rated at 2000mAh and the maximum power output is 75W, both reasonable values for the 0.8 Ohm coil. The device has the fire button, adjustment buttons and micro-USB port on the main side and the display on the left. The display is not very bright and you will have problems reading it in sunlight conditions but it shows enough info and does a good job indoors.
After you take the tank out you can easily mount the 510 adapter with the provided tool and fit any 22mm atomizer on top of the tiny mod. It will increase the overall height and probably won’t make it as portable but it’s a nice pro.
The Slipstream tank that comes with the Innokin iTaste Kroma kit has a total capacity of 2.0ml. It has a 510 connector on the base and airflow adjustment right under the drip tip. And now that we mentioned it, you also get a spare stainless steel mouthpiece in the box in case you’re not that big fan of Delrin. The 0.8 Ohm coil is rated for 20 – 35W and is great for flavor and clouds while the 0.5 Ohm SS coil is intended for TC use.
The Innokin iTaste Kroma features temperature control for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel and we love that you can adjust the wattage. It has no TCR option, but that wasn’t a problem for us since we mostly used the 0.5 Ohm SS atomizer head. The device is powered by the AETHON chip and it’s one of the most responsive boards we tried. Power hits the coil instantly and the overall experience is very good.
The Innokin iTaste Kroma is a compact kit for beginners and intermediate vapers and it offers portability and flavorsome clouds in a small package. The coils don’t have any spit-back or gurgling and the battery is enough to last you a full day at the office. All in all a great vape that not only looks amazing but also performs top notch.
