REV Tech GTS 230W TC

The REV Tech GTS 230W TC has to be one of the most beautiful mods we ever came across. Has that sports car inspired appearance and the screen looks like a dashboard. It’s rock solid, has a gorgeous display and feels very nice in the hand. Powered by two 18650 batteries this goes up to 230W and does all your temperature controls. It even has individual settings for SS316, SS317 and SS304.

What you get in the box

The REV Tech GTS 230W TC comes packed in a black cardboard box. Inside you will find the mod itself in your choice of color, a micro-USB cable, the user manual as well as a nice rubber key chain. Color options include Green, Red, and Blue and the paintjob is similar to that of high speed cars.

Design and main features

On top of the REV Tech GTS 230W TC we have a spring loaded 510 connector. Then on the main side we have the fire button, adjustment buttons and menu button as well as the micro-USB slot towards the bottom. The devices features firmware upgrades and that’s one of its biggest pros. Battery door is held in place by very strong magnets and due to the way it’s designed it does not rattle.

The mod measures 94mm x 55mm x 32mm and the shape is pretty ergonomic. It does have the space to accommodate 30mm atties on top, but because of the rounded edges it will have noticeable overhang. We had the best results with 24mm atomizers, but there’s always a small gap between the connector and the base of the RDA.

The display is massive and it’s brightly colored. There are two style of dashboards to choose from and the user interface is intuitive and simple to use. Menu system is also great and you can adjust everything from the type of output – power mode, bypass, or temperature control – to the brightness level and color option. Wattage mode, temperature control and how everything works

The REV Tech GTS 230W TC goes from 5W – 230W in power mode, with a voltage output ranging between 0V – 8.5V. Minimum atomizer resistance is 0.07 Ohms and temperature control range is between 200F – 600F. TCR adjustments feature six individual presets and there’s even a pre-heat function. We would have liked to see a curves option, but the pre-heat is pretty rudimentary.

Temperature control on this mod is also a bit hit and miss and doesn’t always respond as expected. The profiles need to be tweaked and we hope they do this with the next firmware update. Also there’s no option to adjust wattage in TC mode and that’s always a con in our books.

Performance

Performance on the REV Tech GTS 230W TC is pretty good, especially in power mode. The real time display will show exactly how high the wattage goes and how many seconds your puffs last. Feels perfectly balanced in the hand and has a lot of grip. The display is nice and crisp; however outdoor visibility is pretty poor. Build quality on this bad boy is pretty impressive and there’s absolutely no rattle even if has that magnetic door on the side. Menu and user interface are really nice and the overall vape quality is quite amazing.
