Sigelei 66 Box Mod
Stabilized wood vapes are generally expensive, however if you’re looking for something classy and are willing to go a little over the $100 limit, then the Sigelei 66 Box Mod is a great option. It’s also the perfect mod to use with your 25mm atomizers or tank, given the maximum power output of 66W works for your build and vaping style.
The Sigelei 66 Box Mod is also called EVAYA and is available in three different color options – gunmetal, silver and bronze. It comes packed with only a micro USB cable, a sleeve and a user manual but the build quality on it is pretty impressive. It’s made from Zinc alloy but the outer finish is glossy and beautiful. This definitely turns it into a fingerprint magnet, but you do get a silicone sleeve to protect it.
The main side panel is made from stabilized wood and it has a very colorful and classy texture. On the top side we have a solid stainless steel 510 connector fitted with a gold plated, spring loaded pin. We tested it with at least seven tanks and atomizers and didn’t encounter any sort of contact issue. On the stabilized wood panel we have the fire button, a beautiful and generous color display, the two adjustment buttons and the micro USB slot. Unfortunately the micro USB slot is only used for charging, as this model doesn’t support firmware upgrades.
The Sigelei 66 Box Mod measures 86 x 50 x 27mm and in terms of size is in the same class as other top single 18650 devices. It feels a bit bulky but at the same time it’s perfectly balanced in the hand. The buttons are clicky and responsive and have a low profile. This makes the mod easy to use and quite intuitive, everything being displayed in real time on the big OLED screen.
You can use the Sigelei 66 Box Mod in power mode as well as temperature control mode for Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steel 316. Unfortunately you cannot adjust the wattage in TC mode, but the device is quite accurate and performs flawlessly. You can set the temperature anywhere between 200 – 600F and the minimum resistance is 0.10 Ohms.
In power mode you can use the mod between 5 – 66W and we recommend getting a high drain battery rated for 30A. You can charge it via the supplied micro-USB cable, but it’s even better if you have an external charger. At around 60-65W the battery should only last for a couple of hours, however if you use it in the 25-25W range you can definitely rely on it for a full day at the office.
The Sigelei 66 Box Mod is obviously a device for those with a finer taste in personal vaporizers and the combination between stabilized wood and bronze or gunmetal looks fantastic. If you don’t mind a bit of battery rattle and swiping fingerprints once in a while then it’s a great device to have for little over $100. Does the job perfectly, TC mode works great and the overall experience is top notch.
