Sigelei is back with a brand new starter kit and this time it's something rather unique. The Sigelei Sobra 198W TC was inspired by a Cobra snake and looks pretty bad ass. It comes with the innovative MoonShot 120 sub ohm tank and it's the ultimate fog machine. We were also impressed with the build quality and the flavor coming from this powerhouse.

Sobra starter kit contents

Inside the package you are going to be presented with the Sobra mod, the MoonShot 120 tank, a coil, spare glass tube, spare parts, the charging cable and the manual and warranty card.

When it comes to available colors there are plenty of choices for all types of users. These range from metallic colors like Gold and Rainbow to various scale-style finishes like Serpentine Red, Kingsnake White and Serpentine Black.

We really like the design

Imitating the shape of a majestic Cobra, this mod adopts and innovative and sleek design. The rounded edges make it feel so natural in the hand and it has a reasonable amount of weight to it. It has two small red windows on the front and back and these resemble snake's eyes. These are fitted with LEDs which light up you when you press the fire button and give the mod a unique appearance.

From the top down the device measures 88.9 x 55.5 x 39.5mm and features a solid 510 connector. Unfortunately, despite its bulky appearance, the Sigelei Sobra 198W mod only works with tanks with a maximum diameter of 25mm.

The fire button is placed on the side and the up/down buttons, color display and charging port on the front. To power up this mod you will need two high drain 18650 batteries, which are sold separately. The door is placed on the bottom and has a good hinge mechanism.

The board and the great color display

Sigelei are known for their boards, and powering the Sobra 198W TC is a very fast chip. This ensures fire speeds of 0.015seconds and that amazing hard-hitting feel. It features all temperature controls, TCR and pre-heat and fires down to 0.05 Ohms.

The 1.3" TFT color display is very bright and accurate. There are two types of user interfaces and the menu system is easy to use.

The kit comes with a really good tank

The MoonShot 120 Sub ohm tank features some pretty neat innovations. First we have the all-ULTEM top cap that also acts as the mouthpiece. It prevents heat from being transferred to your lips and the wide-bore design is perfect for sub ohming.

Then we have the top fill port, which is just under the mouthpiece. This comes with a sealing membrane that lets e-liquid go inside but doesn't let it come out. It prevents leaks and helps create vacuum inside the reservoir.

The tank has a full capacity of 5.5ml and there's also a European version that holds 2.0ml. It features bottom adjustable airflow and the overall diameter is 24mm. You do get an extra glass section, which is always a big pro.

Overall performance and recommendations

The Sigelei Sobra 198W TC is a powerful sub ohm starter kit intended for flavor and clouds. If features some pretty interesting innovations and works with two 18650 batteries. The build quality is impressive for this price range and the tank is really good.
