Wismec Reuleaux RX200

You are probably familiar with the design of this mod from the earlier DNA 200 version, however the brand new Reuleaux from Wismec has a few tricks up its sleeve and it’s a lot less expensive. At a price of only $67.95, this mod is kind of a best deal for all those looking for a powerful device, with plenty of battery life and that produces clouds like a locomotive. Designed by famous modder Jay Bo, the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 it’s an impressive 200W powerhouse that requires three 18650 high drain batteries and was built for any vaper with cloud chasing ideals.

It’s the kind of mod that doesn’t only look good but also performs like a true champion and this is probably the reason behind its immense popularity these days. The Wismec Reuleaux RX200 comes packed in a grey cardboard box with a sketch of the device on the top and inside you will find the mod itself, a micro-USB charging cable, a user’s manual (it’s more of a brochure) and a warning card that’s about battery safety.

The first thing you’ll notice about the mod is it’s awkward shape, however you will soon find that it feels very natural in the hand, even better than some of the rectangular box mods out there. It has a bit of weight to it, especially with all three batteries inside but at the same time it’s really comfortable to vape. To us, the front of the mod looks a bit like the VTC Mini, however the general design is a lot different. It measures roughly 85x50x40mm and it comes in two available colors – beach blue and white combo and full black.

On the top side of the mod we have a spring loaded 510 connector, venting holes for the batteries on the sides, and on the front we have the round firing button, a generous OLED screen, the up and down buttons as well as the micro-USB port. Now the port is used both for charging the device as well as for firmware upgrades, which you can find on the company’s website. The back of the mod is actually the battery door and it’s held in place by really strong magnets so there’s no rattle with the Wismec Reuleaux RX200. On the base there are only four sets of venting holes for the batteries and some branding.

To power the mod you should only use high drain 18650 batteries manufactured by a top brand and we also suggest ‘marrying’ your batteries. This means that it’s best to use three new and identical 18650 (same company, same model) and to always charge and discharge them together. This way you prevent stressing only one of the batteries (the old one for instance) and it also a lot safer. And as a small side note, if you’re familiar with the Reuleaux DNA200, you need to know they fixed the way the batteries sit inside the mod, with the pins now being spring loaded and with no extensions to them that might damage the cells.

As we mentioned earlier, the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 is capable of a 200W power output and in variable wattage mode you can adjust the value from 1W – 200W in .1W increments. It can also work with three temperature sensing coils: Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Steels, so that’s a really big plus. When in Kanthal mode (variable wattage mode) the minimum resistance you can use with this mod is 0.1 Ohms, but in temperature control mode it can fire as low as 0.05 Ohms.

As you might expect, in terms of performance the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 hits like a beast and you can virtually use this device with any tank, RDA or RTA on the market today. It’s one of the most accessible fog machines at the moment and definitely a best buy if you’re looking for something to produce massive clouds. You do however need to take into account that it needs three 18560 batteries so make sure you do the math first and see if it’s in your budget.

The firmware can be upgraded and we did put the last version on it, which supports the TC-SS316 Mode. All in all, a fantastic mod that offers great value for every buck you spend on it.
