Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0

If you are a fan of the MVP series from Innokin, and we know there are so many of you out there, then you will absolutely love the new 3.0 version. This improved version offers the ability to adjust the wattage from 6.0W all the way to 30.0W in 0.5W increments and you can also adjust the voltage from between 3.0 – 9.0V in 0.1V steps. But this is not all – and because Innokin knows for certain that there are a few vapers who want to take this baby below the 1-Ohm limit – the 3.0 works with atomizer resistances from 0.4 to 2.5 Ohms. Another great aspect, that continues the tradition of the MPV series, is that this gizmo comes in a wide range of colors that would appeal to any vaper, regardless of age and gender – you have the chance to choose between silver, black, blue and also pink.

The great thing about the MVP 3.0 is that the top side has a width of 23mm, which means that you can fit almost any regular 22-23mm atomizer on it without overhanging like in the case of some previous versions. Another feature of this box mod is that it comes with a built-in 3800mAh battery and the ability to recharge your electronics off it. The battery is also a pass-through, meaning that you can still vape on the MVP 3.0 while it’s charging. And speaking of charging, you will need a 5V/1A USB power supply to get this baby going – which is what most computers / laptops offer.

The Innokin MVP 3.0 comes in nice cardboard box with a mixture of white, light blue and turquoise colors and inside it you will find a plastic case that holds the mod, the eGo adapter and the stylish micro-USB charging cable that comes engraved with the ‘iTaste’ logo. Besides these, on the bottom side you will find the user manual, warranty and some stickers. By browsing through the manual you’ll learn about all the features of the device and we certainly recommend that you do this before starting to vape on the MVP.

Looking at the iTaste MVP 3.0 it’s rather bulky and that stylish but the design quality is impressive and once you get the hang of it, it feels really solid and easy to hold. On the top side there is a flush 510 connection that comes with a spring loaded center pin and an LED indicator light that shows the status of the battery (green, yellow red) and it also lets you knows when the device is completely charged. On the base of the mod there is the output USB port that lets you power various electronics and also a retractable micro-USB cable that can go directly in your phone or tablet. Finally, on one of the sides you will find the lovely display, a nice squared firing button, two small round adjustments buttons and the micro-USB charging port.

To change from variable wattage to variable voltage you will need to press the firing button and the (-) minus button for a few seconds (to get from variable voltage back to variable wattage you need to press the firing and (+) button together). After that you simply need to press one of the adjustment buttons for a few times or find the setting you are looking for. The iTaste 3.0 has an interesting feature to flip the display if you are left-handed or right handed and to do this you simply need to keep the two (+) / (-) button pressed together for a few seconds. And speaking about the display, it’s very bright and readable under direct sunlight, showing the current voltage or wattage, the resistance of the atomizer, the output voltage, and the remaining battery.

Performance wise, the MVP 3.0 is a fantastic piece of engineering. And just like all the other devices in the series, it does its job perfectly. It’s a true working horse for any vaper and because of the versatile voltage and wattage outputs it’s great at finding a sweet spot regardless of the type of atty you’re using. The clouds are huge and the flavor is smooth and delicious. The buttons are very responsive and the build quality on this device is phenomenal – while it’s certainly not going to win any style awards. In conclusion, the MVP 3.0 is one of those devices that you can’t go wrong with if you are a normal vaper who isn’t trying to blow the ultimate clouds – because at a minimum of 0.4Ohms that’s not going to happen. It certainly follows the footsteps of the older MPV devices but with a lot of improvements and all the requirements for an amazing vaping experience.
