The Innokin iTaste SVD

The Innokin iTaste SVD may just be Innokin’s finest advanced personal vaporizer to date, and their first variable voltage/variable wattage device to hit the market. Vaping on this device sets the standard for middle range variable voltage devices and it delivers a lot of punch for this price range.

The devices looks and feels like a light saber, so it may present some complications if you want to carry it around with you all day, but for the comfort of your home it’s one of the best AVPs money can buy. The design is very futuristic as like most vv/vw devices, but this one even though it is telescopic, does not feel like a roll holder at all.

The box is made of cardboard and it is very simple, including only the device and a manual. The iTaste SVD comes with a pair of telescopic tubes which can house 18350, 18500, and 18650 size batteries that you have to buy separately. You may also need to consider buying a charger for them if don’t already have one. The threading on the tubes and device are of very high quality so you won’t have any issues with removing or replacing the tubes, adjusting them or run across any jams or grinding.

The iTaste SVD is made from sturdy stainless steel with no loose piece or wobbling parts, giving a high quality vibe every time you use it. The power button is made of transparent plastic and it feels very nice under the finger. It also lights up in different colors, indicating how much battery you have left: green, yellow or red. The buttons to control the voltage/wattage are both metal and they work as a charm.

The SVD comes with a blue-colored LED display, where you can read information such as battery, power, voltage, and resistance. Operating the display to change the wattage/power or view the resistance is rather straightforward and it is similar to other devices on the market. However, every time you replace the battery, the device locks itself and in order to unlock, you have to go through the process of holding down some buttons for just over ten seconds.

Just like most AVPs, the SVD comes with a series of safety features that are going to make life a lot easier: Reverse Polarity Protection, Overheat Protection, Battery Safety Protection (vent holes), Short Circuit Protection, Overtime vaping Warning and even Low Resistance Atomizer Protection.

The voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 – 6.0 volts in 0.1 volt increments while the wattage can be adjusted from 3.0 – 15.0W in 0.5 watts increments.

The device is Myriad compatible, which means it will fit a lot of clearomizers with the popular 510 threading.

Overall, if you’re all for an upper-end variable voltage/variable wattage device and a sturdy at home vape, then you definitely must give the iTaste SVD a try. It’s not for every vaper, but if you’ve ever dreamed of vaping from a light saber, then this is the toy for you.
